I have thinning, coarse, senior-curly always-tangled hair and all of the combs and the brush work easily with my wet hair. I have been avoiding brushing it because so much of it has broken and fallen out. The brush stimulates my scalp and does not pull any new hair out while it’s wet. I don’t brush it when it’s dry because I get frizzy flyaway hair, but when I brush it wet, it looks fabulous when it’s dry. Also, they feel fabulous and natural and sustainable!!!! I recently switched to using a natural shampoo bar, but I had a hard time getting my scalp/hair oils to distribute to my ends. I chose this brush and combs set because I wanted something with natural bristles to distribute my oils throughout my hair. This is a great vegan alternative to boar bristles, and it’s used on thick straight hair. The brush is very sturdy, and the combs look flimsy, but they work fine. The comb, especially, is really good at collecting excess gunk in my hair and helps the oil not concentrate at the top of my head. I also think it helps my scalp exfoliate because it doesn’t get itchy anymore when it reaches the day when I’m scheduled to shampoo. I think all the gunk that collects on the comb is from the shampoo bar, so I’ll be switching to liquid shampoo soon. My only complaint is that the bristles cleaning-brush doesn’t really help with the cleaning. I wish there was an easier way to clean the brush and the comb.
